Member, National Association of Realtors
Past President, Norway-Paris Kiwanis Club
Member, SCORE/Oxford Hills Chapter
Member, Paris Cape Historical Society

Helga first came to New England from her native Germany in the early 1970’s. After attending the University of Munich and graduating from Plymouth State College, Helga raised her children and the family became deeply rooted in Western Maine.

In the mid 1980’s Helga entered the real estate field and has held a broker’s license since 1988. During the 1990’s a new career opportunity led Helga into the corporate world of the U.S. subsidiary of a large German firm. She held upper level positions in Sales, Marketing, Risk Management and Human Resources. In 2000 Helga was offered a transfer package to North Carolina headquarters and left Maine for five years. By the end of 2004 – after much soul searching – Helga decided to return to the Oxford Hills area and put her multi-faceted experience to work in the real estate field once again.

Paris Cape Realty opened its doors on May 2, 2005 at 20 High Street in South Paris, fulfilling Helga’s dream of owning her own business. Early support from the buying and selling public has allowed the new enterprise to thrive and these days Paris Cape Realty has become a household name in the local area. The agency handles residential and commercial property, shorefront property, historic properties, farms, and land parcels. Paris Cape Realty is also mindful of community obligations and tries to “give back” by supporting a variety of good causes, whenever possible.

While the business is Helga’s passion, there is nothing more important than family. Son Kevin, daughter Barbara, mom Johanna and extended family members get together as often as time allows. Over the years the family has enjoyed much traveling throughout the world but agrees that Maine is truly special and Oxford Hills is “HOME”.
